Years ago, North America’s railways were more open to chartering their equipment for excursions. On July 9, 1961, a railfan organization (possibly the Upper Canada Railway Society) chartered Canadian National’s steam locomotive #6167 for a run from Union Station to the shops of the Oshawa Railway, which was still operating electric equipment at the time. Richard Glaze was on hand to capture these photographs.
